[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Girl World is making waves in Chicago by advocating for an end to street harassment. Their stories of experiencing harassment while on public transportation were recently shared at the CTA board meeting and as a result we have gained great support and even some national recognition!
Today (7/22) Girl World will be hosting a walk throughout Uptown in hopes to raise awareness in their immediate community. We will be gathering in front of Alternatives at 1 PM and shortly after heading south on Sheridan, west on Wilson, north on Broadway, east on Lawrence and then back south on Sheridan to Alternatives. Afterwards we will be inviting community members to fill out a survey regarding their own experiences in order to further Girl World’s research.
