WEEKLY GIRL WORLD PROGRAMMING
All activities take place at Alternatives' Uptown Youth and Family Center, 4730 N. Sheridan
Girl World Leadership Council (ages 12-17)
2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month from 4-5 p.m.
Through Leadership Council, Girl World members:
• Practice leadership skills
• Prepare to lead Girl World community meetings
• Plan the Girl World social adventures
Girl World Leadership Development (ages 10-12)
Every Wednesday from 3-5 p.m.
Pre-teen program development
• Public speaking
• Decision making
• Problem solving
• Confidence with other young people and adults
Girl Driven Research Project (ages 13-17)
Every Thursday from 4-6 p.m.
Through Girl Driven Research Project (GDRP), Girls explore important issues in their lives and communities through real-world research.
• Pick a social issue
• Collect data from people around Chicago
• Analyze the data
• Present research
MONTHLY GIRL WORLD PROGRAMMING
Girl World Community Meetings
Thursday from 6-7 p.m., once a month
• Celebration of Girl World sisterhood
• Team games/challenges
• Recognition of achievements
• Announcements about upcoming social adventures
Girl World Social Adventures
Friday or Saturday, once a month
• Planned by the Girl World Leadership Council
• Free opportunities to do community service, explore Chicago and have fun
