On-Going Programmatic Opportunities:
Hundreds of community residents help implement Alternatives' programs and make meaningful contributions to community youth as:

- Tutors - one-on-one, small group
- Mentors - Big Sister, career guidance
- Group Activity Leaders - arts, recreation
- Coaches - structured team play, small group recreation
- Chaperones - field trips, summer camp
- Guest Speakers - specific to individual expertise
- Volunteers serve on Alternatives Board of Directors, oversight committees, and program advisory councils. Volunteers also provide much needed administrative support for programs. These volunteers assist Alternatives, Inc. as we continue to build our capacity to serve 3,000 youth annually.

Group and Corporate Opportunities:
Alternatives engages corporate and civic groups in a variety of tailored community service projects including holiday events and drives, community beautification projects, and one time special events.
For a list of current volunteer opportunities, contact Susan Peters.
Alternatives teaches and supports future practitioners and leaders in social services and not-for-profit careers through internship opportunities. Students gain experience and earn undergraduate or graduate credit in:
- Clinical/Practicum
- Youth Development
- Social Service Administration

Alternatives works with many higher learning institutions. For a list of current internship opportunities Contact us.
