Teen Moms Computer Basics
Through the Teen Moms Computer Basics program, pregnant and/or parenting young women develop skills that will make them more marketable to employers.
The program includes workshops on Microsoft Word, Internet Safety and using tables to create budgets, and is offered in Logan Square through our partnership with New Moms, an organization that provides temporary housing, career planning, educational development and parenting workshops for at-risk teen parents.
Through this program, young women develop basic computer skills and have the opportunity to practice these skills on a regular basis; course assignments provide additional practice with software as participants develop practical documents including a resume, cover letter and personal budget.
